Meet Scott
Welcome friends,
On behalf of myself and the entire “WE” team, I want to thank you for stopping by. Whether you’re already a supporter, or trying to find out more about me and where I stand on the issues, there are a few things I hope you’ll take away from your visit – I call them the 3 Es: a focus on Education, the Economy and Energy & Nature.

First, I have an unrelenting passion for EDUCATION. My political career began from a deep and personal desire to improve Utah’s education standards. As a state senator and lifelong learning advocate, I sponsored and passed legislation to reduce class sizes and make kindergarten an integral part of the Utah’s school curriculum. Going forward, I want to help bring technology to the classroom by utilizing creative and new ideas, like the Smart Schools model promoted by Utah companies such as iSchool Campus. Obviously the ECONOMY is going to play a key role, not only in this election, but more importantly the success of our State and Nation. While I spent the majority of my life in the private sector working for IBM, I have spent years serving the people of Utah as a state senator. Job creation is key to improving our economy, and is something I know how to do. While in the Utah State Senate I supported and passed legislation to encourage businesses to relocate to Utah. I realize the skilled and competent work force we have in this great state, and it is my priority to continue to bring us employment opportunities. You can learn more about my work in the private sector, as well as my stance on the economy, by clicking here.
And finally, we’ve got to address our ENERGY issues – finding ways to keep our economy, our state and our nation moving forward, while at the same time preserving God’s creation for future generations. We live in a state filled with the wonders of nature – state and federal parks practically in our backyards. Some of my fondest memories as a parent are time spent enjoying the splendor this tremendous state has to offer. I want to make sure it’s there for my grandchildren and generations beyond.
So there are the keys. I invite you to dig a little deeper in the site and learn more about the future we’re outlining for Utah, and the direction we’d like to see our nation go.
Together WE can do it. Together WE can win.
